Position Purpose

Associate/Associate Level 1 will be responsible for performing daily tasks related to Global Static Data team carried out in the MFS department. He/ She will be working closely with off-shore management, Front office, On-boarding teams and other internal operational teams as part of their daily tasks and will report to the Team Leader and local management in Chennai. The staff will be working closely with all internal teams, Paris and local management as part of their daily BAU. Good functional understanding of the securities lending business along with basic knowledge of Settlement, Corporate Action, Collateral management, billing function related to securities lending business is required.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Should have strong understanding on Static Data process end to end on all the business lines under MFS Global Static Data purview
  • Perform the set-up of different types of Static creation in the back office applications. Perform the entire static data request diligently without any mistake.
  • Active participation on migrations and project calls and should be able to add values on related subject.
  • Should understand the new and updated client account opening requests, new broker-relationship set-ups, ISIN creation, Collateral &Tax matrix setups and settlement instructions into various internal applications as requested by various departments such as Business Support Team, Relationship Manager or Front Office
  • Procedures and checklists must be updated/ prepared with immediate effect to be in-line with delivery standards and SLA
  • Anticipating requirements from various teams for cross border setup and doing the setup accordingly.
  • Constantly improve business knowledge through training and multi-skilling and ensure yourself is cross-trained across various functions in the team and identify areas for change and ensure they are followed up and implemented.
  • Follow appropriate escalation procedures and be a risk manager for the process by verifying the control processes, following up on the incident reports and implementing the preventive measures without delay.
  • Prioritize the work and conduct investigation with due diligence on all the discrepancies/breaks and respond to all queries with in the timeframe agreed as per SLA and procedures.

  • Ability to work in a team environment in coordination with the colleagues and the mangers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and strong MS Excel skills required.
  • Work Experience in Intellimatch will be preferable
