Position Purpose

BNP Paribas Asset Management is the investment management arm of BNP Paribas, one of the world’s major financial institutions. Staff would be assigned a set of clients /per investment team to each team member. Each team member will be owner of the production end to end of all types and frequency of reports. To ensure the reliability and consistency of the final reports, you will take part to daily calls coordinating the data readiness, involving all key contributors. You will perform the defined set of controls during the production process, collect required contributions (comments, risk data,…) and track the workflow process to deliver the reports within deadline.

You will be in charge of documenting issues encountered during the production to ensure upstream controls are reinforced over time by the data.

Responsibilities

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act to guarantee global quality and level of client service,
  • Responsible & Oversee the processing of Reporting Activities within the department
  • Participate in regular conference calls with Counterparts within locally & globally
  • Establishing communication links with the global stakeholders.
  • Responsible of Recruitment, training and appraisal,
  • Responsible to manage HR issues and mobility management of the team.
  • Responsible for the implementation of procedures.
  • Responsible for Change Request prioritization.
  • Act in clients’ visits.
  • To assist Head of AM Operations in undertaking various administrative activities.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as may be required from time-to time
  • To be based in Chennai and prepared to travel as required.
  • Must be prepared to work in any shift supporting Asia/Americas/European business hours.
  • Production of performance attribution reports – explaining the relative out- or underperformance of a portfolio versus its benchmark
  • Production of the client investment reports
  • Collection of different contribution needed for final reporting and co-ordinate with the different teams involved
  • To monitor the client deadlines of the reports
  • To control and ensure the quality of the produced reports
  • To highlight issues and act accordingly to have them resolved
  • To document issues encountered during the production process
  • To work together with Reporting Solutions teams to implement new reports and processes in the production

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • High quality (university) degree level of education (finance-oriented discipline).
  • Good knowledge of asset management processes and financial products
  • Notions of Performance Measurement are a very strong plus
  • Past experience in reporting will be highly appreciated
  • Operational background
