Global Supply Chain > Center > SDC Chennai > Spare Parts Buying

This role is a part of Spare Parts Buying Department in the SDC Chennai that handles/support operational activities around spare parts buying scope- which includes – PO Creation, PO maintenance, MIS reporting, mails management, vendor management, helpdesk, query resolution, handling goods receipt & invoice related issues and communication update from supplier into SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Update Order confirmation into SAP as per confirmation received from supplier
  • Support follow up for Order confirmation compliance from supplier within agreed timeline
  • Track shipments based on the info provide by LSP/Supplier/Vestas Transport system
  • Liaise with supplier in case if deliveries don’t turn up
  • Handle generic mailbox and respond to queries and provide buying support to the rest of the team
  • Keep track of process updates

Qualifications

  • B.E/B.TECH Engineering in any non-IT stream or MBA in supply chain and logistics
  • Any certification in supply chain and logistics (optional)
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Competencies

  • Good English written & verbal communication skills and able to speak with conviction
  • Innovative mind set to explore potential opportunities & propose changes within sphere of influence
  • Good interpersonal skills with problem solving and methodical approach
  • Efficient Team-oriented person – ready to work @ extreme work loads

The work location is in Chennai, India.
This role is a Fixed Term Contract for a period of 1 year under Vestas Payroll.
