Role: Change and Release Management
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Change and Release Coordinator is responsible for maintaining Change Management service levels,
working with the Change Manager and the Release Manager to refine processes that identify, control,
maintain and verify all changes and releases in controlled environments.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Maintain and schedule activities for the development and deployment of application and
Infrastructure changes into the production environments.
- Gather information and track status of all change requests and release implementations.
- Ensure the change and release policy and processes are adhered to in the release of all changes
into the production environments.
- Understand and analyze any impacts of, including scheduling risks, all projects that will
introduce change to the production environments.
- Create and maintain a Gantt chart with dependencies for all changes and releases .
- Mediate all conflicts regarding scheduling, lack of approval or lack of documentation prior to
implementation of the change.
- Coordinate with Incident Management, Problem Management, Release Management, Change
Management, and Configuration Management to ensure correct and consistent data is provided
to the Change and Release Management processes.
- Ensure process, procedure and work instruction documentation for Change and Release
Management activities are correct and up-to-date.
- Distribute the change and release schedules and pipelines within agreed timeframes.
- Ensure closure and archiving of completed change requests and releases.
- Produce and distribute weekly change and release meeting minutes.
- Provide regular, robust, and accurate reporting on change requests and release including
exception reporting on high impact, aborted and unauthorized changes.
- Build effective working relationships with all stakeholders of the organization.
- Continually update and document processes for the ongoing improvement of services and process
activities under the Change and Release Management processes.
- Actively promoting the use of the change and release policy and process across IT and across the
organization.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Proven experience in an IT environment , with coordination and facilitation of Change and Release Management.
- Sound skills in managing processes and systems improvement.
- Understanding of Solution Delivery and relationship to Change and Release Management.
- 5 –7 years’ experience in Change and Release Management processes
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the ITIL best practice framework.
- Understanding of SDLC and best practice frameworks.
- Exposure to and understanding of Project Management methodologies.
- Knowledge/awareness of emerging technologies and alignment in supporting business
requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills – able to communicate technical information to
the understanding of a layperson
- Excellent interpersonal skills – able to influence and persuade, is comfortable championing
processes across multiple user groups, adjusts style to needs of audience
- Sound relationship management skills – able to build and maintain effective working
relationships
- Strong organizational skills – able to prioritize and effectively manage competing demands
without any loss of quality or service
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience of working with third party vendors.
Primary Field of Study:
- ITIL Foundation Certification is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree is required, in any discipline.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: ₹300,000.00 – ₹800,000.00 per year
